Iran's Declared Retaliation The Iranian Revolutionary Guard said in a statement it was targeting American facilities and interests as part of operation "Truthful Promise 4", in retaliation for the strikes on the Islamic Republic initiated by the US and Israel on Saturday. Regional Fallout In Israel, air raid sirens sounded nationwide after the Israel Defense Forces reported it had identified an incoming Iranian missile barrage. The defence ministry of the UAE announced that the country has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles". "Emirati air defenses dealt with the missiles with great effectiveness and shot down a several projectiles," it added. Officials reported missile fragments landed in a residential area in the capital, resulting in some structural damage and the death of one civilian. The US Air Force is stationed at the Al Dhafra base, to the south of Abu Dhabi, along with the Emirati Air Force.
